Cottage Estimating Services has 40+ years of trade, manufacturing, supply, and construction knowledge as well as being a registered builder in several states. All of this knowledge can be used to provide a more cost-effective methodology to be used in the construction to save on the time and cost of your building project. Preliminary Budgets are fully priced and itemised per task and stage of construction in an easy to read summary. Cottage Estimating Services works closely with your consultants, or, if preferred, you may engage with our recommended consultants for engineering, design or architectural consultancy.
Construction / Tendering Estimates
Construction/Tendering Estimates provide a fully priced estimating of all materials, labour, goods, services, and percentage margins for the construction of your project. These can be provided with a bill of quantities that is in a priced per item and per task version or in a non-priced version. Both versions are supplied with a fully priced summary cost sheet; these contain all the required costs to complete your project. Fully priced estimates can be provided in a few days and enables the contractor, if tendering for a project time, to perform any required changes and submit their tender with confidence that all your bases are covered. It might be worth mentioning that each project has variables and unique items that apply to that project only, therefore, the documentation that our client provides us with will determine the accuracy of the cost for the project. Cottage Estimating Services can, at an extra cost, provide detailed sketches and layouts, including schedules, to aid the construction process of the project, which is especially beneficial to owner builders and contractors, saving them time and money during the construction stage of the project. Cottage Estimating Services has had years of experience on all types of building concepts from alternative construction methods to more conventional construction methods.
Material Take-offs
Cottage Estimating Services has worked with many major building component and material supplies in Australia. Providing quantity take-offs for materials, hardware, and associated items, Cottage Estimating Services has the capacity and knowledge to provide part material only quantity take-offs as one of the many services we offer. This saves time and money in our client’s preparation, tendering, and material ordering processes. We can also tender these items to obtain project specific costing for your project if required. Layouts can be provided for certain tasks within the construction enabling a saving of onsite time, supervision, and tendering costs. These material take-offs are not only useful for the building supply, component manufacturing industry, but also for the owner builder, tradesman and contractor, saving valuable time and expense.
Other services
Cottage Estimating Services can also assist with the tendering process and can obtain quotations from suppliers, trades, manufacturers, and contractors. These will be submitted, accessed, evaluated, and clarified. These are also performed with our client’s involvement with all submitted tenders received being provided to our clients for their preferences. This will eliminate any conflict of interest from occurring and provide our clients with a level playing field to save build costs and obtain a current market price in the current changeable building environment. This also assists in developing an up to date project total costs for your project. Cottage Estimating Services does work closely with our engineers, designers and architects and can provide these services to our clients if required or we can work with your own consultants.
